British 18ct White Gold Natural Emerald & Diamond Toi et Moi Ring, Circa 1930–1940
£835.00
An elegant British two-stone ring, bringing together the vivid colour of a natural emerald and the brilliance of a natural diamond.
Dating to circa 1930–1940, the ring is crafted in 18ct white gold and designed in the romantic Toi et Moi style. Meaning “You and Me” in French, the name refers to two gemstones set side by side, symbolising two individuals united while retaining their own distinct character.
The ring is set with a round natural emerald measuring approximately 4.5mm in diameter and estimated to weigh around 0.25ct. Its bright green colour is enlivened by natural inclusions characteristic of emerald.
Beside it is a round natural diamond measuring approximately 4mm in diameter, with an estimated weight of approximately 0.23–0.25ct. The contrasting green and white stones create a beautifully balanced composition.
Flowing crossover shoulders curve around the two principal stones. Their finely raised white-gold beads and textured detailing catch the light with a delicate shimmer. These decorative points are formed entirely in white gold and are not additional diamonds.
The interior retains partially worn British hallmarks, including marks resembling “18” and the traditional crown for 18ct gold. The remaining sponsor and date marks are no longer sufficiently clear to identify with certainty.

Elegant and easy to wear, it would make a meaningful engagement ring, anniversary jewel or distinctive vintage addition to a ring collection.
