Art Nouveau Natural Pearl & Old European Cut Diamond Ring in 18K White Gold | WGI Report

A natural pearl and an Old European cut diamond meet within graceful, sweeping curves. The pearl’s soft lustre contrasts beautifully with the diamond’s lively sparkle, bringing warmth and character to this elegant antique ring.

Dating to the Art Nouveau period, circa 1890–1910, the ring is crafted in 18K white gold, with a hallmark on the outside of the band. Its elongated openwork design features intertwined diamond-set curves, finished with small bezel-set diamonds at opposing ends.

The principal natural diamond weighs 0.75 carat and is graded H colour and I1 clarity in the accompanying WGI report. Its Old European cut reveals distinctive antique faceting, catching the light with bright flashes as the ring moves.

Alongside it sits a natural pearl measuring approximately 6.83 × 7.90mm, described in the report as white with a pink hue. Its gentle lustre complements the diamond beautifully. The report records the pearl’s surface as “moderately spotted”, a characteristic to note when appreciating its natural appearance.

A further 28 natural diamonds, comprising rose cuts and single cuts, follow the curved setting and shoulders. Together they weigh 0.09 carat, bringing the total diamond weight to 0.84 carat. The reverse reveals an open diamond setting and a fluted pearl cup, offering another view of the ring’s detailed construction.
