1957 Vintage 18K Gold Natural Jadeite Cabochon Ring | London Hallmarks | UK N½

Fresh green jadeite meets warm gold in this distinctive vintage ring, combining the softness of an oval cabochon with the clean lines of a geometric setting.

Crafted in 18K gold, the ring features a natural jadeite cabochon measuring approximately 9.7 × 7.4mm. Its smoothly domed surface reveals varied green tones and natural internal textures, with a gentle lustre that shifts beautifully in the light.

A close-fitting bezel secures the jadeite within an angular, cut-corner gold face. Engraved lines fan across the broad shoulders, drawing the eye towards the centre stone and lending the ring a confident mid-century character. The shoulders taper into a narrower band, balancing its substantial appearance.

Weighing approximately 5.88g, this is a characterful piece with a pleasing presence on the hand—equally suited to wearing alone or alongside simple gold jewellery.

The ring bears “18K 750” marks, the maker’s mark “CJ”, and a full set of British hallmarks for London, with the date letter “b” for 1957. The 750 fineness mark denotes 75% gold content, equivalent to 18K gold.

In very good vintage condition, with light surface wear to the gold consistent with age and use. Please examine the photographs for details of its natural textures and condition.
