DESCRIPTION:
A rare and exquisitely detailed Edwardian brooch, circa 1900, designed in the form of a classical lyre with a fine safety chain leading to a matching letter “N” charm. Crafted in solid 15ct gold, this charming piece is adorned with luminous natural seed pearls and delicate enamelwork.
The lyre body is embellished with evenly matched seed pearls and features a black enamel scroll bearing the Greek letters “ΑΧΩ” (Alpha Chi Omega). The reverse bears the maker’s mark N.WOOD N°48. The “N” charm is set with natural seed pearls, complementing the main design perfectly.
