This charming Victorian hand-painted miniature pendant, dating to circa 1870, is beautifully crafted in 15ct gold and retains its original 15CT gold hallmark. Combining fine jewellery with miniature portrait painting, it is a wonderful example of the artistic craftsmanship that flourished during the Victorian era.

At the centre is a beautifully executed hand-painted miniature scene, depicting a young lady and a child sharing flowers in a peaceful garden. Every detail—from the delicate facial expressions and flowing garments to the surrounding landscape—has been painted entirely by hand with remarkable precision. More than 150 years later, the colours remain beautifully preserved, reflecting the exceptional quality of the original artist’s work.

The pendant is elegantly decorated with fine granulation around the suspension loop and finished with a delicate natural pearl, adding refinement and subtle texture to the design. The reverse is fitted with a luminous panel of natural mother-of-pearl, whose soft iridescence beautifully complements the warm tone of the gold.
