FRENCH EMILE PUIFORCAT ANTIQUE 950 SILVER COFFEE POT | MINERVA FIRST STANDARD
£2,200.00
A beautiful expression of French elegance, craftsmanship and refined living.
This exceptional antique coffee pot was created by the renowned French silversmith Emile Puiforcat, one of France’s most distinguished houses of silverware. Celebrated for its exceptional craftsmanship and timeless designs, Puiforcat later became part of Hermès, continuing its distinguished tradition of French silversmithing.
The coffee pot is beautifully crafted from substantial 950 silver and bears the French Minerva First Standard hallmark, denoting a minimum silver purity of 950 parts per thousand—the highest standard traditionally used for French silverware.
Its elegantly proportioned body features clean, flowing lines and a softly polished surface that retains a warm, naturally aged lustre. The beautifully shaped wooden handle has developed a rich and attractive patina over more than a century, creating a striking contrast with the gentle sheen of the silver.
A finely constructed internal divider is fitted beneath the rim near the spout, reflecting the silversmith’s close attention to both practical function and refined craftsmanship. The substantial weight, balanced proportions and carefully considered details embody the elegance and sophistication associated with fine French silverware.
More than a functional coffee pot, this is a remarkable piece of French decorative art—combining history, craftsmanship and timeless beauty. It would make an impressive addition to a collection of antique silver or an elegant decorative centrepiece.
