A refined and highly collectible Edwardian Negligee necklace, dating to circa 1900, showcasing the elegant lightness and fluid movement that defined early 20th-century jewellery design.

Crafted in 18K gold and platinum, the necklace features a round natural opal at the top, framed by a delicate halo of antique-cut diamonds. From this centrepiece, two slender platinum drops suspend a pair of matching round opals, forming the signature gently swaying silhouette that characterises true Negligee necklaces.

The three natural opals display beautiful play-of-colour, with soft flashes of red, green, and blue visible in natural light. The antique-cut diamonds add subtle sparkle, perfectly complementing the opals’ luminous glow. The piece is completed with its original platinum chain, bearing appropriate markings.
