Edwardian 18ct Gold, Platinum-Fronted Old-Cut Diamond & Cultured Pearl Eternity Circle Brooch, Circa 1900–1915

A delicate circle of pearls and old-cut diamonds, arranged like a wreath of soft light and antique sparkle.

Dating to circa 1900–1915, this elegant antique brooch displays the refined craftsmanship and graceful all-white aesthetic associated with Edwardian jewellery.

Ten luminous cultured pearls alternate with ten natural old-cut diamonds to form a beautifully balanced circular design. Each pearl measures approximately 3.5mm and is a whole pearl with a softly rounded profile and gentle creamy-white lustre.

The ten natural diamonds are all antique old cuts, measuring approximately 2.5mm each. Their subtly individual facets produce the warm, lively sparkle characteristic of early hand-cut diamonds. Each stone is framed by a fine millegrain border, adding delicate texture and definition.

The brooch has a traditional two-tone construction frequently associated with fine jewellery of this period. Its circular framework, pearl settings, pin and clasp are crafted in professionally tested 18ct yellow gold, while the diamonds are held within cool white platinum-fronted settings.

The platinum enhances the brightness of the diamonds, while the underlying gold framework provides warmth, strength and a beautiful contrast when the brooch is viewed from the side or reverse.

With no beginning and no end, the unbroken circle is associated with eternity, unity and enduring love. The alternating pearls and diamonds make this refined brooch both beautifully symbolic and wonderfully wearable.
