Georgian Two-Colour Gold Fob Seal | c.1820 | Chrysoberyl & Amethyst | 18ct Gold
DESCRIPTION:
A refined Georgian fob seal dating from the 1820s, beautifully crafted in 18ct two-colour gold with exquisite detailing throughout. The body of the seal is richly ornamented with chased patterns and granulated gold work, demonstrating the artistry of early 19th-century craftsmanship.
The handle is set with a natural chrysoberyl cabochon of delicate green hue, glowing with subtle luminosity. The base holds a striking step-cut natural amethyst of vivid violet colour — uncarved and preserved in its original state, offering the possibility of personal engraving or keeping it as a pure gemstone seal.
