Edwardian Black Opal & Diamond Bar Brooch c.1900 | 18K Gold & Platinum

SOLD OUT

REFERENCE: 63-8015

DESCRIPTION

An elegant Edwardian bar brooch dating to circa 1900, finely crafted in 18K yellow gold and platinum.
At its centre sits a natural black opal, alive with vivid flashes of blue, green, and fiery red — a mesmerising play-of-colour that changes beautifully with the light.

The opal is framed by a halo of antique-cut natural diamonds, further accented by two old-cut diamonds set along the bar, creating a refined and balanced composition typical of the Edwardian era.
The use of platinum for diamond setting enhances brilliance while maintaining a light, graceful appearance — a hallmark of fine jewellery from this period.

This piece has been professionally tested to confirm its materials and gemstones.
Elegant, timeless, and highly collectible, it is a fine example of Edwardian craftsmanship and a beautiful heirloom jewel to be treasured for generations.
