Antique c.1900 15ct Gold Shamrock Brooch | Ruby, Sapphire & Rose-Cut Diamond | Engraved Gold | Fine Victorian/Edwardian Jewellery
£1,075.00
DESCRIPTION
A charming c.1900 antique shamrock brooch crafted in 15ct gold (pin not included), featuring beautiful hand-engraved scrollwork and a rich matte texture typical of late Victorian to early Edwardian jewellery. The round gold plaque is decorated with delicate vine motifs that create a soft, elegant interplay of light and shadow.
At the centre of the design lies a symbolic three-stone shamrock, set with:
• Natural Ruby — bright and lively
• Natural Sapphire — deep and pure in colour
• Rose-Cut Diamond — soft antique sparkle unique to pre-1900 cutting styles
Each gemstone measures approximately 3mm, lending a refined balance to the engraved gold surface. The overall composition is harmonious, understated, and rich in period charm.
The brooch retains its original antique construction on the reverse, with a secure pin mechanism. A wonderful piece for collectors seeking meaningful motifs, fine hand-engraving, and authentic turn-of-the-century craftsmanship.
