An exquisite pair of Edwardian Day & Night earrings, dating to circa 1900–1915, beautifully crafted in 18K white gold and set with certified natural saltwater pearls and natural diamonds.
Elegant and wonderfully wearable, the earrings feature a slender white gold drop suspending a circular pearl and diamond cluster. At the centre of each is a beautiful natural saltwater pearl, surrounded by a delicate halo of small diamonds. The soft, luminous lustre of the pearls contrasts beautifully with the fine sparkle of the diamonds and cool white gold.
The two pearls have been professionally examined by The Gem & Pearl Laboratory, London, and are accompanied by Pearl Report No. 26759, dated 9 January 2026, confirming them as Natural Pearls (Saltwater).
Both pearls are button-shaped, measuring approximately 6.4 × 4.8mm and 6.3–6.4 × 5.0mm, with individual weights of 1.49ct and 1.52ct, approximately 3.01ct total.
The earrings are set with 42 natural diamonds in total, separately professionally tested and confirmed. Each upper stud is set with one approximately 2.25mm round brilliant-cut diamond, while the pearl surrounds are set with a total of 40 fine eight-cut diamonds. The total diamond weight is estimated at approximately 0.25–0.30ct.
A particularly charming feature is their Day & Night convertible design. The pearl and diamond drops can be removed, allowing the upper diamond studs to be worn alone for a simple daytime look. With the drops attached, they become elegant, elongated pearl and diamond earrings — two distinct ways to wear one beautiful antique pair.
Lightweight and comfortable, they remain remarkably wearable more than a century after they were made.
